Lisa Kang is a biostatistician who for the last 17 years has dedicated her career to improving the lives of patients. Her experience spans all aspects of the academic, biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. She is a chemist and biostatistician who received her BS in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and MSPH in Biostatistics from Tulane University. Lisa began her drug development career at GSK and became inspired by the patients she met and their stories of how medicine could provide hope. Since then she has dedicated her career to supporting the development and commercialization of multiple drugs including Lumizyme for Pompe disease, PROCRIT for anemia in cancer patients, EVISTA for osteoporosis, Torisel for advanced renal cell carcinoma and Lumicaftor for cystic fibrosis. Lisa has a special interest in the use of the microbiome for alleviating disease. Currently Lisa is a senior director at Proteostasis, focused on finding a cure for cystic fibrosis patients.

Lisa enjoys volunteering in her spare time. She is a board member of Monte Jade New England and the Brookline Early Education Program Parent Teacher Organization, the steering committee of the Boston SAS User Group and the Executive Committee of the New England Association of Chinese Professionals.
